Michelle Robertson founded Grand Splash Marketing in 2009 at her kitchen table in Northeast Oklahoma. She had spent her career in traditional advertising and media — printing and radio — working alongside business owners every day, and she kept hearing the same thing: customers had moved online, and there was no agency nearby specializing in helping them make that transition.
She built Grand Splash Marketing to fill that gap, and grew it into a full-service marketing, communications, creative, digital and consulting agency serving clients nationwide.
Michelle is a marketing and communications consultant whose work spans strategic communications, campaign strategy, public relations, storytelling, digital marketing, business consulting, and public-sector, Tribal and nonprofit outreach. Public transit marketing and communications has become one of her signature areas of work.
Michelle is also an experienced speaker and trainer. She has taught marketing and communications for Chambers of Commerce, Tribal organizations, nonprofits, transit organizations and private businesses — from one-on-one instruction to organizational workshops, conference sessions and national industry panels. She created, developed and teaches the original transit training Turning Your Transit Driver Into an Ambassador for Your Agency, and has participated as a panelist at the National RTAP Conference in a Federal Transit Administration discussion focused on communications in the federal process.
She is a Native entrepreneur and a citizen of the Wyandotte Nation, and a co-founder of The Navigation Firm, Grand Splash Marketing's sister company specializing in transportation, transit and mobility planning.
